American Housing Builders, Inc. is very aware of the many sacrifices those in the military make to help preserve our freedoms in America, which is why we are very active in promoting VA loans and other affordable loans to help assist our military veterans in purchasing a new home.
In talking to many veterans throughout the years, we have learned that there are many veterans who don’t know themselves if they would even qualify for a VA new home loan and what benefits they are entitled to. Here is some information to assist those veterans who may be considering buying a new home and using their VA benefits.
If you served at least 90 days of continuous active duty during World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam Way or the Gulf Wars and was discharged honorably, if you served at least 181 days of continuous active duty during any peacetime period and was discharged honorably, if you are now on regular duty and have served at least 181 days of active duty, if you completed a total of 6 years in the Selected Reserves or National Guard and was discharged with an honorable discharge, if you were placed on the retired list, was transferred to the Standby Reserve or continue to serve in the Selected Reserves, you may be eligible to receive a zero interest VA Home Loan.
You may also be determined eligible if you are an un-remarried spouse of a veteran who died while in the service of his/her country or from a service connected disability, or you are a spouse of a serviceperson missing in action or a prisoner of war, or are a United States citizens such as Public Health Service officers, a Cadet in the United States Military, Air Force, or Coast Guard Academy, a midshipman at the United States Naval Academy, or an an officer of National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration.
